Belief Statement
THE BIBLE: We believe that the Scriptures of both the Old and New
Testaments are verbally inspired of God, error-free in the original writings, and the
supreme authority of faith and practice for the believer in Jesus Christ.
GOD: We believe there is but one living and true God, who eternally exists in three
distinct personalities: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
THE FATHER: We believe in the first Person of the Trinity orders and directs all things
according to His own purpose, pleasure and grace.
THE SON: We believe that Jesus Christ is both the eternal Son of God and
virgin-born Son of man. Having led a sinless life, He died on the cross to provide for our
redemption. We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, His
present ministry of intercession on our behalf, and His eventual return in power and
glory.
THE HOLY SPIRIT: We believe in the third Person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit who
executes the will of God in the world of men. It is He who
performs the miracle of the new birth in an unbeliever, indwells in believers, and
empowers believers to live godly lives. He also endows believers with special gifts
which equip the church body to accomplish distinct ministries, planned
beforehand by God the Father.
