I am a graduate of Bryn Mawr College (USA) where I studied BA Mathematics and Linguistics and of the University of York (UK) where I completed MA Psycholinguistics. I worked in Residential Life, helping new students with the transition to being a university student, alongside tutoring local students and developing digital curriculum to revitalize an Indigenous language.
After graduation, my work in education diversified further. I worked for a start-up innovating teacher training, read over 1000 international applications to UC Berkeley, and produced social media campaigns and newsletters showcasing the diversity of careers in STEM, among other projects that developed my expertise.
Now, I teach students and work with colleagues around the world, help families through the college application process, and create copy, social media campaigns, curriculum, websites, and more for small businesses and charities.
As a freelancer, I take on the work I know I'll enjoy, while making time through volunteering to contribute to causes I care about, especially as a writer and campaigner. Outside of work, I am an avid musical theatre fan, board game player, and musician for local choirs and other ensembles.
I am an associate member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association, safeguarding trained, and trained in working with neurodivergent children and young adults. Additionally, I have pursued further certification in graphic design, email marketing, instructional design, and more. Certificates are available upon request.
